چکیده
This paper presents the results of numerical simulations for developed and discussed conical two-phase atomizers with swirl flow, differing in ratio height chamber to its diameter. Experiments were carried out SAN-1 HS/DS = 1 SAN-2 4 atomizers. The study was conducted over a range Reynolds number liquid ReL (1400; 5650) gas ReG (2970; 9900). Numerical calculations performed use computational fluid dynamics (CFD), which verified on basis experimental data. Based analysis studies influence operational parameters changes atomizer geometry generated spray demonstrated. As flow rate increased decreased, angle increased. Higher velocity values greater turbulence occur center spray. inside determines nature obtained. influences air core formed atomizer, this atomization effect. not only confirm studies, but also provide additional information internal external flow.

Experimental study and numerical simulation of three dimensional two phase impinging jet flow using anisotropic turbulence model
Hydrodynamic of a turbulent impinging jet on a flat plate has been studied experimentally and numerically. Experiments were conducted for the Reynolds number range of 72000 to 102000 and a fixed jet-to-plate dimensionless distance of H/d=3.5. Based on the experimental setup, a multi-phase numerical model was simulated to predict flow properties of impinging jets using two turbulent models. Mesh...
متن کاملNumerical Study of Single Phase/Two-Phase Models for Nanofluid Forced Convection and Pressure Drop in a Turbulence Pipe Flow
In this paper, the problem of turbulent forced convection flow of water- alumina nanofluid in a uniformly heated pipe has been thoroughly investigated. In numerical study, single and two-phase models have been used. In single-phase modeling of nanofluid, thermal and flow properties of nanofluid have been considered to be dependent on temperature and volume fraction. Effects of volume fraction a...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation of Dropshaft Hydraulics: Two-phase Flow and Acoustics
A dropshaft is an energy dissipator connecting two channels with different invert elevations. Detailed air-water flow and acoustic measurements were conducted in a prototype dropshaft under controlled flow conditions, and complemented by a 1:3.1 scale model study. Experimental observations showed three flow regimes with distinct acoustic signatures. Strong flow aeration was recorded in two flow...
متن کاملTwo-Phase (Air and Water) Flow through Rock Joints: Analytical and Experimental Study
This research study deals with the characterization of two-phase flow in a fractured rock mass. A comprehensive mathematical model with which to predict the quantity of each flow component in a single joint is developed. A joint with two parallel walls filled with layers of water and air stratified is analyzed. The effects of mechanical deformation of the joint, the compressibility of fluids, t...
متن کاملAn Experimental and Computational Study of Disperse Two-Phase Flow in Headers
P. S. Hrnjak, S. P. Vanka A combined experimental and computational study will be undertaken to develop better understanding and control of dispersed two-phase flow in headers. First, we will examine misty flow regimes in headers using the refrigeration setup from Project 96 for which the liquid and vapor phase flow rates can be individually measured from five tubes distributed along the length...
